Hope..

As darkness covers the bright blue sky
Thoughts fill the air with a resonant sigh
Shadows arrive and shelter the earth
Covering, cleaning out gaiety and mirth
Bright stars peek out one by one
Slowly replacing the big bright sun
But though this blanket of darkness covers us all,
I feel a small stillness within my small soul
As my thoughts and others’ resound with a sigh
Waves of tranquility and peace pass by
And even if darkness surrounds my heart,
That small light inside will never depart…
