The Pen

This pen allows me to write pieces that are thrilling
Ironic because what will make me a living will make me a killing
This pen allows me to translate the stories I think
This pen allows me to put my life into ink

The pen is the supporter of my mind, you can trust this
The pen is mightier than the sword to that I'm a witness
Sure a sword may help you in life
But I can write something that will make that sword look like a butterknife

The pen helps me connect me with my alliances
The pen can help me break all awkward silences
I write what shapes my life like a stencil
Oh, the value of a writing utensil

When I drop a pen I long to write again
I am almost overwhelmed by the power of the pen
