Where The Heart is.

When my English teacher told us we were going to read Where The Heart is by Billie Letts I wasn't too excited. I thought the book would be boring and written in a style that I am not particularly fond of.

I was correct. Although there are some twists in the plot they are predictable. For example when the main character Novalee is stranded at a Wal-Mart it is predictable that she will end up living there. Also considering that one of the books main themes is home is a state of mind, it is also predictable that Novalee will find a make shift family as her life seems to drag on.

Overall this book is everything I expected it to be. I would recommend this book to a teenage girl because it seems that most of the girls in my English class enjoyed it. However, if you tend to like more adventurous action packed books, Where the Heart is is not the book for you.
