The main character Stanley is accused of stealing shoes that just came to him. His consequence was to go to a camp. That camp was called Camp Green Lake. His sentence was to dig a five by five hole everyday until his sentence was over. It was so hard because it was dry lake bed.

Everything has been going wrong and in the end it wasn’t really his fault. He made new friends and people who he could count on.
Conclusion
Everything happens for a reason. He didn’t do something and still got punished for it. Even though he didn’t do it, it wasn’t his fault, and he still strived towards his consequence.
