Who Stole the Lightning?

If you are reading this book and you start to get the feelings of a hero, stop reading this book! This is literally a warning that the book gives to you in the beginning. Of course, this warning is just to add to the book. Now the hero in this high pace book is Percy Jackson. Percy is not an average student. He is a hard-headed, dyslexic teen who is about to be expelled from his school. However, school is about to become one of his smallest worries.
In the books beginnings, Percy is struggling to settle down, and he cannot read because the letters float around the page. Science calls this dyslexia, but only Percy’s mother and best friend really know why he cannot be settled. After Percy completes this horrifying journey, Percy finally gains some sanity and he makes his father very proud. Percy will never be the same.
The reason he must go through all of this is because Percy is the son of the Greek God of water, Poseidon. To get to through his journey, he must go to Camp Half-Blood, the school for demigods. Throughout is journey, he faces terrifying creatures, humanoids, Gods, and other demigods that pose a large threat to Percy. However, Percdoesnt’t go through this alone. He meets up wwithbeth, the daughter of Athena, and Grover, a satyr. At the end Percy finds out that Luke, a demigod, and Ares, the God of War were the ones holding Zeus’s Bolt.
No matter how messed up Percy could be, he was destined to save Olympus. He fought horrible monsters and relentless demigods. However, Percy went through all his struggles to save the world from war and to gain some lifelong friends.
This book is a perfect book for children and teens who just want a fast, action packed book to read. This book deserves a four out of five in its category. I found the book as a new type of series that could make an interesting story.
