Introduction
The main character that you will hear about the entire story is a boy named Stanley Yelnats. There are many other generations of him in his family. Also, you will hear a ton about a kid named Zero. These two share an interesting story together after a little bit of the book goes by. One place in the book Stanley and Zero stay at is a place called Camp Green Lake. All they do there is they made them dig holes to straighten the criminals out. A creature also exists of Camp Green Lake. Which is called yellow spotted lizards, and which in the movie are highly venomous.
Description and summary of main points
Everyday Stanley and Zero stay at this horrible place. Stanley and Zero have to deal with snotty kids picking on them everyday and every night. There is a warden there who helps the real boss, find the gold that was buried a very long time ago in a chest. It seems to be that every time a kid hits a hard object it is never the buried gold. Until one day Stanley hit something very big and tremendously hard. The warden pulled it out and opened it. They have finally found the pot of gold that have been looking for, but there was nothing but yellow spotted lizards in the chest. The warden shoots all of the lizards and the gold is free. After all of this Zero and Stanley get sent home together.
Evaluation
I would really recommend this book. The book is filled with all kind of emotional changes all throughout the book. Also, the book brings in back round history before they even started to dig for the gold. Again I would highly recommend this book.
Conclusion
There is also a movie of Holes. In my personal opinion I would rather see the movie then read the book. That’s because you get to see all of the back round history. Which I thought was really fascinating.
Your final review
My review was on the book holes. When I first read the book, I was shocked how much I really liked it. Sometimes I read, but that was my favorite book by far. With all of the changes and history all throughout the story, it just keeps your mind flowing all of the time.
