Description and summary of main points

Her name is Susie Salmon, like the fish. She is like any other seventeen year old girl, only she is dead. One brisk December day, she is walking home across a cornfield by her home. Then she is confronted by her awkward new neighbor, Mr. Harvey. He lures Susie into an underground hangout that he had built for the other kids of the neighborhood.
