Book Review Outline
Book title and author: Holes
Title of review: Diggin Holes By: Vinnie Morris
Number of stars (1 to 5): 5
Introduction: The book Holes is a comedy and drama. Stanley Yelnats is sent to detention camp to join the job of digging holes. He was sent there because Hector Zeroni stole a pair of shoes that were signed by Clyde Livingston.
Description and summary of main points: Stanley was sent there for the summer, because he was framed. Zeroni stole shoes because he’s poor and he needs shoes, but when he heard the police sirens he threw the shoes over the bridge. Stanley was walk by and they landed on him and he didn’t know where they came from. The police saw him walking with the shoes and put him in the police car. Instead of him going to jail he went to the detention camp to dig holes!
Evaluation: I think it’s a very good book. It is like a drama, comedy, and lesson kind of book. The lesson is to not steal and to not frame someone else.
Conclusion: I would recommend this book to ages around 11-14. It’s around that age group that they could understand and would enjoy reading it. Its was also made in to a movie. The movie is just like the book.
My final review: Overall it’s a amazing lesson story. Showing what the results could be if you steal from someone.
