Touch is a T.V show that has the idea of people having the ability to make life connections between people with numbers.
“There’s a red string attached to all of our ankles, connecting us. This string may stretch, it may cross, but it can never break.”
Jake, a child that is labeled as autistic makes these strings connect with numbers. His father helps him make these connections by following him. Thing is, Jake doesn’t speak a word and reacts with shrill cries and rocking back and forth to the slightest touch. So while making these connections, Jake’s father can’t get a reply from or touch Jake.
Touch isn’t the regular T.V show, that’s for sure. It doesn’t just stay in one place. Throughout the season there have been connections in China, France, America, and many other places. This show doesn’t keep you bored or wanting more.
Touch keeps my mind rolling happily along with thoughts of wonder. Is it possible that these connections could be made? Do I have any red strings wrapped around my ankles? Questions like these slither into my mind while watching Touch.
