The Monster Within
This early acrylic piece first appears to be a girl with her back turned and a monstrous figure before her. but upon further inspection, one sees that it is she that is creating the shadow, despite her light coloring and innocent stance, it is she who is the monster. The primary color pallet grabs the attention of the viewer while offering a light, childlike approach to the serious subject presented, assisted by the childlike art style used.
