Oilslicked Mermaid

This special effects makeup was designed to bring attention to a very environmentally impacting issue, oil spills. I wanted people to see the affect this disaster had on the wildlife that inhabited the waters. To do this I took a, usually majestic and mythical creature, the mermaid, and depicted the effects after she were to be hit with an oil spill.
