Once I Met a Fox

This watercolor was born early on in my love for Japanese culture. This painting is of a scratched "kitsune" or fox mask. Foxes were known in ancient lore for their powerful magical abilities, wisdom and ability to turn into humans, which is part of what makes the human behind the mask so significant.
