Not All Heroes Wear Capes
Ask a child who or what a hero is, and 9 times out of 10 you will receive an answer like Superman or Batman. Ask a teenager and you might get police men or firemen. Now I am not bashing on the men and women who are in police officers or in a rescue squad, but the real heroes are the men and women in our military. They put their lives on the line over seas just to defend us. They are away from their loved ones for months at a time and they don’t ask for anything in return. Now I don’t know about you, but I am a college student who is an hour away from home and I miss my family like crazy. Imagine how hard it is to be in a completely different country from your family.
