Adrenaline. Endurance. Liveliness. The combination of these makes it possible to complete the final tumbling pass. I’m almost out of breath…but that’s the feeling I live for.
Some people think prancing back and forth across a springy floor is just a sport to watch on TV. For me though, it’s more than that. It’s a way to get away from everything, to keep me focused, and to set goals for myself.
I finish my concluding flip—my feet disembark to the ground without a step. I save my last breath for a final shriek to my teammates.
