Rutgers MAG
New Brunswick, NJ: From the first time I visited Rutgers, I knew I was in love. People talk about colleges with beautiful campuses, but this place is gorgeous! The one thing that really caught my eye was a row of lecture halls on a path lined with towering oaks and a forest of green spruce amid an emerald carpet of lawn. Rows of brick buildings stood at attention like soldiers in a parade.
Another aspect of the school is its location. The dorm where I stayed, Campbell Hall, is a ten-minute walk from the Laundromat, restaurants, the school bookstore, and theatres. I guess you could say "Main Street" is just around the comer. Walking down the streets, or stopping at Starbucks for coffee, I felt a security blanket keep away the chill of homesickness.
There is always something to do and if you get bored, just look outside, you will get lost in your thoughts. If nature and surroundings are important to you, this is the place to be!
The next best thing after the environment is the people. Talk about the ideal mix of generous, kind, and caring! I have never met so many people whom I have immediately gotten along with in my entire life! Every time I go there to visit my brother, I meet more and more great people. I have become friendly with so many people there that it's hard to believe I have only known them for these past three months. If you are shy or easily intimidated, you will not find nicer people to make you feel comfortable.
If you are looking for a school that has an amazing campus, great people and a challenging learning environment, Rutgers is the place for you. f
