innocent disipline or complete tourture?

everyone has done something bad at least once in their life. i mean okay i get it they need to be punished but a sentence of adult prison to a minor is way too harsh! they can be a minor for alcohol and tobacco but not prison? it just dosent make any sence! yes they need to be taught a lesson but this is all beyond teaching them right from wrong. some may argue the following reason:well mabey it wouuld give thm an idea on how rough
