Chapter 1
 
 
 
My brother threw himself into my arms face dripping with blood, at are first but also last meeting
 
It all started around 700 years ago when I woke up on top of a hill of blue grass all alone wondering where my brother was or where he could have went. But not even recognizing where I was or how I got there I brushed off and looked around and wondered who placed me up here with my hands on my forehead trying to block out the sun from my eyes as I looked down the hill. It was a vary steep and grassy hill with what looked like miles and miles up ahead but more importantly where was my brother? and was he coming back? But then in the middle of my train of thought I lost my balance and tumbled directly down the hill I got several leaves tangled in my hair, and mud
 all over my clothes. It made me angry so I quickly got up brushed myself off once again, and picked blue,  leaves out of my long triple braids and flicked them to the ground with my nails. But then out of no where a wall of water surrounded me I looked around the small air bubble I had what kind of sorcery was this? Then Like magic it lowered down to reveal what looked like another person starring right back at me threw the wall
“Who are you” the voice boomed
I then froze like I was being watched by what felt like at least 1,000 soldiers who ever it was there entity had a strong suit to water
“I will ask you again who are you?” the water then started to close in on me
“Dove” i shouted shakily
and has I said it the water loosened then dissolved into the grass And standing before me was a young female pointing her spear at me. As I calmed down I lowered my arms to my sides, and they lowered there spear
“What’s your business here?” She asked still griping onto the side of the spear
I then looked around thinking that I had to have got here some how I couldn’t have just appeared, and it’s not like I recognized where I was it was a literal forest drenched in blue with insects straight out of a fairy tail. I had no idea where I was or how I got there I just woke up on a hill two seconds ago but I had to come up with something
“My missing brother” the answer then blurted out of my mouth
She then let down her guard it seemed like she knew exactly what I was talking about but I didn’t even know why I said that. she grabbed my shoulder from the behind with a light smiled painted on her face and started walking me towards a village
“Hey what are you doing?” I asked trying to get away
“Taking you to my village”
“Why are you taking me to your village weren’t you pointing a spear at me two seconds ago?”
“I’m a forest ranger I’m required to take anyone who doesn’t seem like a threat into the village. Any more questions?”
“Yes I do. How did you make a water wall?”
“Well kid welcome to the water district or Marin”
She then smiled and used water to make a gat appear then knocked in patterns of three
“Aperta” she said then the gates magically opened “welcome to the water district Dove”
It looked like we where in a giant bubble when we got inside I realized it was basically a cloaking spell
“Now if you will the queen would like to see you” she said grabbing my arm firmly
“Why? And I haven’t even got your name yet”
“Mind my manners I’m Kearia, but don’t feel special the queen sees everyone who enters the village”
She then dragged me to the very top of the village to a small replica of a castle with giant doors, and a throne placed in the middle of the inside
“Well where is she?” I asked
Kearia then pointed up and where the queen was emerging from the ceiling like a ghost spinning gracefully like a ballerina on the way down to her throne
“Greetings daughter Kearia” she spoke softly “who do you have for me today a friend or a fo?”
Kearia then bowed down and smacked me in the back of the head to do the same.
“Afternoon mother Nero, I hope your well I just have another outlander for you”
She then shoved me before the queen
“Greetings child what might your name be?”
I then look over at Kearia and she didn’t even look at me she just gazed at the queen with delight
“D-Dove your highnesses my name is Dove”
“Ok daughter Dove what brings you here guides?, fortune?, wish to speak to the dead?”
“No Mother Nero”
“Then why are you here child something troubling you?”
“I don’t know I just sorta woke up on one of your forest hill”
“Well do you know how you got there?”
“N-no”
“I see…you may rise”
We then rose up to meet the queens eye
“If I may mother Nero do you have abilities to seek people out?” I asked
She then brought up her hand and a light glow came before her palm
“Come here child who are you searching for?”
I hesitated  Before Kearia shoved me toward her once again
“Don’t be shy child” she implied “I will only show you the truth I don’t like lies after all”
I then stepped forward from where Kearia shoved me
“Put your hand under mine” she said grabbing for my wrist “and think about who your searching for”
I the closed my eyes tightly holding my hand under Mother Nero’s as the light grew bigger as I thought about my brother or where he may be but I just became marooned in my own thoughts wondering where I was I didn’t recall ever falling asleep in a forest it was all new to me. Then suddenly the light went out
“Did you find him?” I asked in a distressed manner
“I’m sorry child it was to blurry”
I then set my head down in worry hoping I didn’t do something wrong
“Well can we do it again?”
She then shook her head “no that was the last bit of magic I had for the day but your free to stay in the village until you find him dear child”
I then sat there for a second this time really hoping it wasn’t my fault. But maybe just maybe I left the hill to soon maybe he would come back or he already did and is wondering where I am? But before I could finish thinking Kearia wrapped her arm over my shoulders and dragged me out.
“Listen I don’t know where you came from or how you got here so I can’t trust you just yet but I’m allowing you to stay in the village but if you try anything don’t think I will hesitate to kill you. Hear me?”
She then let go of me and I fell back over as she started walking off.
“Wait but where do I stay?” I asked
“On the other side of the village is a cathedral you can stay there” her voice fading
I could tell Kearia definitely didn’t like me that much. When Kearia was done walking away out of sight I got up, brushed off, and started walking away from the castle it was a nice village but nobody looked normal there everyone had elf ears, dark colored hair, and light eyes they almost didn’t look human it was strange I’ve never seen anything like it but it was nicer then my home town. In my home town kids never played, adults never got along, and we certainly didn’t have water powers. I then continued to walk threw the village trying to find the cathedral Intel a floating fish that looked like it was made out of bubbles came swimming towards me and started swimming around my wrist.
“Hey little guy” it then followed my hand “your so cute”
The fish then circled in my palm then a boy of a young age came running towards me
“GUPPY WAIT UP” he shouted
Then CRASH he bumped straight into me and we both bumped heads and fell over I then thought how many times I would fall today 1 million 2 million? I then raised my head
“I’m so sorry ma’am I hope I didn’t cause you any harm”
I then noticed the fish circling him now
“Is the fish yours?” I asked
“Yes meet guppy. But I saw you already met”
I then got myself off the ground before he could offer to help
“What brings you into the village?”
“Nothing really why do you ask?”
“Oh I’m sorry but you don’t look like a villager here?”
“Yea I kinda guessed but I just arrived here an hour ago escorted in by Mrs Kearia I believe”
“Oh Kearia I work with her as a forest ranger she wasn’t rude was she?” He inquired
“No not at all don’t worry she was fine”
He then came over and out his hand on my back
“How about I show you around?”
Then before I answered he took me to walk around town for several hours I definitely knew this was his way of apologizing. He made sure to get in every tiny single detail he could when showing me. He seemed to know just about everything about it, it made me feel special even tho he probably did this for everyone else. Eventually we lost daylight a bit and everyone was starting to gather off the streets, and my stomach was growling
“Hey, are you hungry?” He asked softly
“Yes, do you have any kind of food with you?”
“No but I know a tavern, please let me treat you”
I then agreed and he brought me to the village tavern for some food, and a couple of drinks together and he brought all of it for me no matter how expensive I even started to feel bad but he insisted it was fine, and that he was a well paid man. He then continued to buy me drinks, and as much food has I wanted I even enjoyed some performances that happened that night several performers came in doing tricks on tables, playing instruments it was a great night but it ended around midnight when it closed the boy I met could barely stand he drank so much and has for me I only had two or three drinks that’s night. But some how he was still desiccated enough to show me where the cathedral was but I still had to drag him up the steps and the doors where wide open
“Welcome to the Piscis cathedral, are you here for the night?” The young women asked
She looked like a Sister but was wearing a very revealing outfit, in fact almost all the sister where wearing it I guess it was just their uniform. They where wearing a pearl white skirt down to their ankles with slits all the way up to their thighs, a baby blue belt, and a dark aqua crop top with slits in the middle.
“What an bazar thing to wear at a house of worship” I thought
The young lady then proceeded to escorted both of us inside the cathedral, and handed me two sleeping pouches while the boy was still draped around my shoulder barely awake
“You may set up any where you like as long as you leave by 5:00am” the sister then bowed and walked away.
Almost immediately I set the boy down against the wall, and set up the sleeping pouches on the floor. It didn’t take long for me, and the boy to pass out under the blanket of the sleeping pouches, it was probably the most comfort I had sleeping on the floor. The cathedral had a aroma of fresh wild flowers, and warmth I slept like a baby that night. The next morning I was woken up by the boys pet fish floating along threw my long braids which I’ve forgotten to take out.
“Good morning!” The boy called
I then sat straight up remembering little to nothing the day before.
“So it wasn’t a dream?”
The boy then stared at me confused
“W-what do you mean?”
I then looked at him thinking he was my brother
“Crowlin?” I asked
The boy looked confused
“My names Alberic. Who’s Crowlin?”
I then froze
“So it was real?”
“Listen I don’t understand what your talking about but I’m no Crowlin”
I then stood up on my pouch then violently turned my head in different directions looking around the cathedral.
“Hey hey calm down”
Alberic then stood up and grabbed ahold of my head
“Calm down, what’s wrong?”
He then removed his hands from my face
“Are you hungry?” He asked
I hesitated then nodded my head.
“Then let’s go”
He then grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the cathedral thanking the Sister on the way out for are stay.
