When I was done getting changed the demons came back in and dragged me away and threw what looked like an underground city. They walked me down the city to a big shacked wooden building and brought me inside and threw me on the floor
“Walk” it spoke
I then looked over at it was this it maybe. Was this where they were going to kill me?
“WALK” it shouted
I then quickly got up and followed them quickly trying to stay alive as long as possible around them.
“Here’s your room”
“Huh room?”
Then the door was shut and locked behind me
“WAIT” I shouted, “WHATS GOING ON?”
Now answer I was just left pounding on the door hopelessly before I curled up into a ball next to it
“P—please...”
It felt like I was about to die any waking second what was their plan? I couldn’t help but wonder I just didn’t want a violent death that was all so if they were going to kill me, I wanted to to be quick and fast instead of slowly watching me suffer. I probably cried so loud it echoed out of the door what if Ricky was in here? The room consisted of a bed, mirror, toilet, a sink, and a bed side table it all looked used and run down I doubt they even cleaned it. I then got up and walked over to the bed the sheets still had blood stains on them, but it was dried, but it was still new whoever had this room before me died not too long ago most likely it disturbed me. What the heck happened here? Then the door flung open
“33064?” It called out “are you 33064?” It asked
I stood in silence has it took its long nails to my neck reaching for the tag attached to the dress.
“Follow me” it spoke now dragging me by my tag throwing me out the door
I walked beside it has it escorted me through the hallway with more doors like mine until we ended up in a blank room with a chair right in the center.
“Sit down”
I then sat in the chair wondering what they where about to do
“Stay still”
It then walked out of the door and locked it behind him. Then the room grew dark and there where black lights shining down onto me
“Stay still kid”
“WHO ARE YOU?”
I tried to get up but it felt like I was frozen in place not a single mussel moved in my entire body. The presence moved closer and closer I could feel it it was intimidating and not to different from the one in the throne room. Then a light prick of a needle inserted into the back of my neck then my blood was extracted
“HEY WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!”
No answer. It ended up taking less than one minute and I felt dizzy, and I went limp in the chair my eyes where open and I could see but I felt dead my body jittered from nerves almost every second. Then the needle stoped and pulled away from my neck. After that the lights came back on and it was still the same blank room it just felt like I was spinning round and round in a constant circle
“Up” the demon spoke grabbing me out of the chair
But I could barely move on my own I was also very close to throwing up. But it’s not like they cared they just dragged me back to the shagged room and laid me back onto the floor helpless and shaking. I couldn’t do anything but curl up in a ball and wait it out I couldn’t move, and my muscle ached terribly. I don’t know where I went wrong but I didn’t even know they captured humans until today and it most likely would’ve happened either way if I did stay in the riverbed. I was just glad they weren’t killing me but the suffering was already unbearable almost half a gallon of blood was taken from my body at most only after 5 hours of laying helpless on the floor I was able to have the strength to at least move onto the bed and by then it was probably evening by now but I couldn’t sleep the thoughts of what happened to my family and the pain of having less blood then normal kept me up. I just told myself that they at least didn’t have to go through this it’s only happened to me one time, but the pain was still unbearable my whole body was throbbing nonstop for hours, but I guess it was just my blood cells doing their thing, but it still hurt. I now officially hated the demons I couldn’t look at them any other way than ruthless monsters as described in text books but I knew I was only a weak child and I could never defeat any of them at least not alone but everyone was too scared unless they were a solider and the soldiers we had where weak and in confident thus why so many of them died so often but they needed everyone they could get even if they only hired the right people the army would be small and easily defeated but hiring everyone who applied would give them a chance of winning even if it was slim. Us humans had the right to survive too but the monsters needed us to survive which would involve gruesome torture and killing.
 Of are race and maybe extinction which would be bad for both races cause after humans die out monsters will die of hunger and go extinct with us not soon after. But either way humans would be livestock until death and if they where reborn they would have to go threw it again and a again like a god awful loop. But us humans where weak we would never stand a chance fighting agents them almost are entire population would be done for so there was no easy solution without making sacrifices we where there source of food but people including  me hated there guts I mean who could blame them several have seen and felt indescribable things but to the demons they never showed sympathy ever in history no matter how many humans showed sympathy for them demons continued to be ruthless and evil.

Morning soon came but unfortunately only a tiny speck of sun came leaking into the cell I was being held in. I then got up out of the bed before I realized what happened yesterday and that I wasn’t fully healed. It didn’t hurt that much as it did but as soon as I got up, I could feel it coming back up and around my body like bullet shooting threw my muscles I absolutely hated it. I then flopped down back onto the bed immediately in pain I was in absolute misery.
Then an intercom broke out “All livestock please report to bridge” it spoke “all guards will guarantee you make it there”
Then the doors unlocked I was terribly confused livestock? I wasn’t livestock I refused to be livestock, but I couldn’t move anyways I was still in too much pain.
“33064 go to the bridge”
I then looked up to see a hooded demon in the doorway
“I can’t move sir...” I replied
The demon then moved closer into the room “walk”
I didn’t answer
“WALK” it shouted again
I still didn’t answer
“Insolent human humans placed in this room always so irresponsive”
The demon then started growing their nails longer
“I will ask one more time because of the queens orders walk”
I continued to stay still as the demon got madder and madder until the demon had enough and lunged at me with his nails. I couldn’t move I couldn’t do anything but it’s not like I wanted to anyways if I was going to be live stock I’d rather die. Then only when it was inches away from stabbing my face the same demon from the throne room stopped him and threw him back into the wall.
“What did I say about killing livestock?” She asked
“I’m sorry my queen...” he the quickly got up shaking in his boots
“Skedaddle.”
She watched as the demon quickly ran out and down the hallway
“Get to the bridge at the center of the capital kid”
I was confused. Why did she save me wasn’t I her ‘livestock’
“Uhm..excuse me?” I mumbled
“What is it?”
“It’s just why did you save me?”
“Simply making sure my little demons follow orders now get out”
I then quickly got up ignoring the pain and ran out of the building I’ve never ran out of a building faster in my life that demon's presences was a heck of a lot stronger than before. I then continued to run until I caught up to the other livestock headed towards the bridge as for, I had no idea where I was going or what the bridge was. So, I just kept running until another human being was in my sight, but I was running to fast that I eventually ran into a young girl having both of us fall over onto the cold stone concrete.
“A—are you okay little girl?” I asked.
“Dove who’s this?” A boy then came running back down from the path “where supposed to go to the bridge remember?”
“Oh, I’m so sorry it’s my fault I was running to catch up and ran into her”
“Hm..you seem new what’s your number”
“Well first off I don’t want to go by a number and second of all call me katelynn”
“Just tell me your livestock number mines 32790”
“33064 but don’t call me that”
The boy then out of nowhere looked glum after I said my number
“I guess they already killed Johnny…”
“Who’s Johnny?” I asked
“No one just the old 33064 forget it”
The boy then helped up the girl and started walking off back into the crowd with the other live stock
“WAIT” I shouted
He then turned back around to look at me
“What is it?”
“What’s your name I told you mine it’s only fair I know yours”
“Vincent”
He’d then continue to walk away from me
“WAIT UP”
He didn’t answer he just followed the other livestock ignoring me, so I ran towards him walking beside him following the others.
“Sooo Vince what goes on around here?”
He ignored me
“Vince” I said now poking on his shoulder
“What” he groaned
“What happens around here exactly?”
“It’s just role check making sure nobody escaped I can definitely tell your new to this”
“Duh I just arrived yesterday”
“I see”
“Anyways how did you end up here?”
He then went back to ignoring me
“Hello, you were just talking to me what did I say that was wrong?”
“Just shut up and follow the other livestock”
He then picked up the pace to get away from me but I still followed him from behind until we arrived and I lost sight of him.
“Welcome livestock” a voice boomed “to all the new lambs this is a routine number check please all file into a line”
I was confused even tho Vincent just told me what was going to happen but it smelled fishy to me but before I could think anymore of it I was shoved by the crowd into a single file line with maybe millions of people in front of me
“Now if I call your number be prepared to get pulled out of line” the voice boomed again
The crowd then got silent and on high alert
“23804, 34468, 30766, and 17891” the voice said being meet with screaming in the background
I watched has the 4 people called where taken to the front 3 where children and 1 was an old man. The old man looked like he knew what was about to happen but he seemed prepared and ready to accept it but the children look horrified kicking and screaming trying to get them to let go. But everyone just stared has they walked by I could only wonder what was about to happen
 
After the number check we where all free to walk around what they called the underground city of live stock and gave everyone tiny scraps of food. But everyone was silent it looked like they where morning a loss of someone but come to think of it after the number check it didn’t look like the 4 people called came back even I was starting to tense up now. But then I noticed Vincent across the street with the little girl eating small biscuits with a large group of people who look around are age
“VINCE” I shouted walking over
He then pretended like he didn’t hear me
“Vince” I said, “what happened back at the number check every seems down?”
“Don’t talk to me”
“Vince who’s this?” One of the girls asked
“Nobody” he replied quickly
“Well, she looks like she knows you” another girl spoke
“I don’t she’s just a newbie Dove just bumped into her on the way to number check”
“Heads up” one of the boys then threw a biscuit at me “go ahead sit down”
“Thank you”
I then sat down and took a bite out of the biscuit
“So, what’s your name?” They asked
“Oh, I’m katelynn you?”
“Well, we saw you already met Vincent”
“Yea I guess I kinda did”
“Well, I’m Freya this is Vince’s little sister Dove, the boy over there beside Vince is Q, the girl beside us is Maddie, and the other boy beside Vince is Bennet”
“Well nice to meet you” I said
“Why is she sitting here again we aren’t friends?” Vince complained
“Oh, Vince be nice she seems to be alone she probably has nobody with her”
“Whatever as long as I don’t have to do anything”
Freya then rolled her eyes “don’t mind Vince” she groaned
We then talked as we all finished are biscuits. They where all nice and welcoming well with the exemption of Vince but I didn’t pay any mind to him. This reminded me of living inside the walls we had the same scraps and the same format everyone was broke and where given exceptional scraps of constant bread the only difference was that my family wasn’t with me god I missed Ricky as much as I hated him I still saw him has my best friend sometimes most likely because he was my only friend no one inside of the walls liked me I had no friends except for my family. I really wish I knew what happened to mom and Ricky I do t know if they where eaten or not for all I knew they could just be on the other side of the crowd from me and I would never know. I then guessed that my internal thoughts where displayed right on my face because when I looked up everyone was looking at me weird
“Katelynn you, okay?” Freya asked
“I’m fine” I then took another bite out of my biscuit
“Well, you can always talk to me if you want”
“I said I’m fine”
I then turned in the other direction continuing to eat my biscuit, but I could tell they were still looking at me from behind
“Is it about a family or a friend?” Q asked
I then slowly nodded my head trying to respond to them the best I could without crying
“Well, who is it we might know them?” Maddie added
“You know what forget it he’s most likely dead” I mumbled
After that everyone stayed silent again only, they noise of people eating their biscuits or the sound of coughing or sneezing in the background everyone seemed miserable it looked like everyone’s body just shut down on the side of the road. Most people were perched up against a wall of a bricked house wailing out in pain this obviously wasn’t the best place to end up. But then the intercom came on again
“Attention all demon servants' livestock 20953 passed away take the lamb to the drainage room”
“Well another one bites the dust I guess” Bennet mumbled
“What do you mean?” I asked
“The demons probably took too much blood from them they probably never recovered” he replied
“And what does the demon mean by drainage room?”
“Well after you die here, they take all your remaining blood, and your body parts are dismembered and turned into are equivalent to ‘dried up fruit’” Freya added
“Oh…”
 
 
After all the other people finished there food all of us where escorted back to are rooms I was worried I’d never see them again but they promised I would at least see Maddie again because how close are numbers where she was only two off from me her number was 33062 instead of 33064. We where escorted together back to are rooms put parted ways when her room came up first then my door one over from hers on the right hand side
“Good luck” she whispered “see you at the blood extract tomorrow”
 
 
Then when we were thrown into are rooms, I was given what looked like a small portion of medicine on a paper towel on top of the side table. Nothing else was there besides the pill I really wanted to take it but I also didn’t know what it was I was for sure it would either kill me or make me pass out, so I knew I wasn’t going to play their stupid games. But then my door flew open again and another hooded demon like this morning came in and stood in the doorway with a clip board
“I’m here to supervise 33064 taking their pill”
“No way you're stupid demon” I said facing the wall
“I’m not playing games kid it’s a standard pill”
“What’s the pill for then?” I then looked over to him
“For you to regenerate your plasma from your entry blood extraction other live stock currently have the same pill so just take it before I have to use force”
I then reached out for the pill hesitantly knowing that if I didn’t do it, I would most likely have harsh punishment and that other demon might not save me this time. Once the pill was in my hand the demon intensely stared me down with the clipboard letting me know he wasn’t going to leave until I swallowed it. But I didn’t want to I was too scared of what it would do to me, but I was even more scared on what would happen if I didn’t take it. I then placed the capsule onto my tongue and swallowed. The demon then nodded and checked off my name walking away and closing my door behind him
 
 
Almost as soon as he left, I searched my room for anything suspicious or out of the ordinary I was hoping something else was left with the pill maybe a note? But nothing was left all I had was a paper towel where the pill laid on my side table.
 
I then continued to stay up for several hours monitoring myself to see what the pill was all about and what it would do. But I felt nothing well nothing out of the ordinary I even felt a little better it felt like my red blood cells were fully healed…
