The End
It was a dark stormy night when the doctor finished his adjustment of this very important computer chip. He knew that it had to be kept out of the wrong hands, for too much exposure to the air could make this small computer chip into a massive nuke. Not only that but what it could do when placed in its holder. Sadly after all his many attempts he failed to modify it to not explode. To him this only meant he had to monitor this chip very carefully. Despite him being the only one with access to the underground facility h still felt as if some uncivil people would. He was integrated into the project when it had first started. It was designed to have an impact with its feature to bring back and heal the dead. The only downside was the feature of being able to instantly kill someone. It was created to benefit everyone but he didn’t expect it to indicate so much destruction. This is the story on how humans soon met their demise.
The doctor finished he had all the power he had been working on for 5 years, he was now 26. But this power he had just relived on how dark it was. It was too late. BANG. BANG. BANG. His body smacked the ground hard the soon to be called destroyer had shot him but currently known as Matthew Mullen, John Mullen’s brother. He was the same age as his brother. He picked up the chip in its stand, pointed it at his brother and shot. Blinded and disoriented Matt fell to the ground. When he awoke his proud brother stood up and laughed screaming how it worked. The lights flickered and something happened to Matthew he changed. He ran and ran. His brother soon realized something was wrong. He double checked all his work and realized what happens if you use it. He ran out the door screaming he was so sorry for what he had done. The only words that came out were, “What have I done?”. Just then he awoke to that stormy night to a call saying he was transferred to a new project.

Just try to avoid and excessive amount of narration.
Use dialogue and action rather than just stating what happened. Show, don't tell!
(also, can you check out my story?)
