Chapter Two
As the dog ran underneath the stars and in the coldness of the wind, he whimpered as he ran. The frosty ground and the sheer burning on his feet left him wanting to stop and collapse on the ground, but as his fur blew in the wind he kept moving up the trail. As the sunrise started to rise the dog was panting and stopping to catch a breath. Once done the dog continues up the path, from what he remembers he’s still quite a ways away. As the dog runs he feels something beneath him move and feels a crack in the floor. As soon as he knows what's happening the dog falls into the water. He moves and struggles to get out. Once he’s able to get on the ice and out of the water he shakes himself and quickly bits at the ice fully around his legs and body. The dog then knew he had to hurry, once his legs are free and his chest area he quickly starts running and ignores the slicing pain on his body the best he can. As he continues to run he tries to shake off the ice on his back but after a few tries and fails he runs even faster up the trail on the glimmering snow beneath his smoldering feet. It was getting colder also meaning he was getting closer. The dog suddenly smelt the very similar smell of burning wood. As the dog looked to the right he could see a hint of a tiny flame. He shivered and looked back up the trail then back to the fire. The dog whimpered in pain and walked carefully to the fire. As he got closer he hesitated, but continued to walk closer. A few moments later the dog smells something and all his senses are screaming danger. Run. He always have trusted his instincts so he turned back to the trail and continued to run. Every step he took he could feel the pain moving up his legs getting more and more painful each time. It was now almost sundown it was getting darker and the dog knew he had to get there cause he wouldn’t last another night. He bolted as fast as he could knowing he was close to the camp. The sun was officially down but the dog continued to run. After a long painful journey he had made it but could no longer walk and collapsed on the floor panting. As the dogs eyes start to close and the world darkens even more, he could hear faint speaking. The next thing he knew he was walking next to the other boys he has known for a long time. The dog moves its tail glad to have survived his Journey.

This piece is something I wrote as a continuation to the story To Build A Fire. What I wrote is what I think could happen or what the dog could do and his Journey. I felt like writting it the way I did because it is one of many diffrent things the dog could do.
