Mirror
Mirror mirror on the wall
You have been my friend through it all
You have told me that they will appreciate and understand
So why didn’t it go as planned?
Is it because I’m weak?
Or is it because I’m not at my peak?
The mirror replies back
I see your hard work and how you don’t slack
I see the pain and the strive
I see that nobody is by your side
And I don’t see anybody else
The only thing I see is myself

I decided to write this poem based on my feelings.
Recently, I've had some problems with my friends. I found out that I could not trust my friends the way I thought I could. I also had problems with my gymnastics coaches. They always tell me that I'm not good enough to be on my team and don't treat me as equally as my other teammates.
I figured that I'll write all my feelings in this poem. So my poem is about how most of the time, the only person that will always be there for you is yourself. Nobody will ever appreciate you more than you appreciate yourself.
