I walk up to the bar, drink in hand.
“How’s it been?” says my friend, holding a water bottle.
“Alright,” I say. “My shoes are pinching my feet a little though.”
She looks down at my feet, my shoes almost skin-tight. We hear loud, heavy footsteps on the wooden floor.
