Only three people were left under the red and white awning of the grease joint: Grady, me and the fry cook. Grady has worked at Burger World for as long as I can remember. He had the scent of frying fat and pickles. No one knows why he works here; he won the Powerball lottery 12 years ago so no one understands what he’s still doing in a fast food restaurant. For all I know he could live in Burger World. He gets there before me everyday and leaves after me. Now the fry cook is a different story. He was a smelly fat person who hated work and wasn’t a pleasure to be around. His name was Tron, but everyone called him supersize. And then there’s me; I’m just holding this as a second job so I can get through Law School. Both my parents went to Law School and are successful lawyers, but personally I think it’s worse then watching paint dry. But here I am in law school anyway because my parents have been talking about how great of a lawyer I would be but they never stopped to ask what I wanted to do. Ever since I was 13 I knew I wanted to be a construction worker. It isn’t the best paying job but for somereason it is the most interesting job in the world too me, but for now im paying my way through law school which I don’t even want to be in, while working two jobs, one of which is this grease joint.
