I said I love you
And she looked at me strange.
She looked at me as if what I said was what she always feared. Her eyes still blue, but no longer holding that same gaze when she looked my way over her shoulder. Her lips straight, no longer being that reassuring smile reminding me that it's okay.
And it wasn't. It wasn't okay. It wasn't okay that this is happening. It wasn't okay that I was feeling this way. It wasn't okay that she didn't feel the same.
It wasn't okay that she didn't love me.
