My Heart
My heart is who I am. It beats strong and hard like a drum. It is the quality that I like about myself. My friends describe me as kind and caring. All what a good heart has. I think I get it from my mom. Because my mom’s heart is just a strong. She loves me the way I love her, with my whole heart.
This heart that I have beats everyday. It beats for all my friends. It beats for the world. It beats for my life. For anything. I think it might sing because it is happy.
But now it is slowing down. The drum is not being played. I feel it broken, like a window that has been hit and in lies in a million pieces. Until I find that one person that can pick them up without getting cut. And slowly put them together. Then one day I know my heart will beat strong and hard just like a drum.
