Shattered Train
Sydni laid on her daybed, staring out the window at the rain that mimicked her tears. The heart-wrenching dream ran through her mind over and over, as if someone had put it on a loop. The train, the boy, her horse. He had only wanted a ride. Why had she let him escaper her eyes? She knew better than to take them that close to the river, the tracks. To let him slip away for a silly game.
