The Turkey
Have you ever stopped to think about how a turkey feels in October, knowing that November may be the end of him? Knowing that this may be his last day on Earth. He thinks, “how would I like to be served? Would I rather be baked or deep fried, maybe I’ll even be stuffed?" In the midst of all our thanking, do we ever just stop to thank the very turkeys that help make this day? I couldn’t imagine being in the “skinny Legs” of a Turkey. "I am thankful for the fulfilling forest. I am also thankful for my mother who has taught me to “dodge” a hunter’s bullet. Another thing I am thankful for is my fellow turkeys who have gone before me. I just hope I am not the one to go belly-up this November 28th."
