A Letter For A Far-Away Friend
Dear Kate,
It's me, Isabel. We really miss you here at Washingtion Middle School for Gifted Children. Things have never been teh same since you left.
Bennie is taking good care of your dog Giggles. He teels me that sometimes Giggles whimpers and puts his paw on a picture on you. Other than that, Giggles just loves to have fun!
Lizzie is almost off her smoking addiction. After you parted from us, she vowed to stop in your name. She sees the school counselor on Mondays and Thursdays for extra help.
Avery got the lead in our school's play of Cinderella. She recited her lines after school each day to prepare her. Avery tottaly derserved it.
I'm doing good too. I won the school's poetry contest with a piecie called "The Slient Telephone". It's about you.
I really like you Kate. I don't know how to say this, but I love you. I'm sorry I didn't have the courage to tell you before you died. I miss you, we all miss you.
Isabel
