I DO NOT Need You
Everyone says I need you in my life, but I don't. You're the reason my view of the world shifted from positive to negative. I spend the majority of the year being built up and then I come to see you and I get town down. My confidence gets shattered and I spend the rest of the year trying to pick up the pieces and glue them back together only to be shattered again the next time I see you. People say the relationship between father and daughter is so important and that's why they say I need you. I can't keep putting myself back together only to be broken again. You're not, good for me. I don't need you. But unfortunately I don't get a choice in what I need and sense everyone else thinks I need you the endless cycle of being broken and put back together goes on and on and on.
