Eric stared blankly stared at the small tv in the band room.  The whole band class wasn’t even watching the movie, but was focused on the small clock on the right side of the room.  The class started packing up when the clock hit 2:45, 5 minutes before the end of school.  Excitement bubbled in the classroom as the clock ticked closer and closer to 2:50.  As the bell rang and the students walked out the door, Eric on the other hand ran out the classroom and went toward his house. It took about 4 minutes to run home, once he arrived he knocked once, twice. And then proceed to look in his backpack for the house keys.  As he fumbled with the keys to his house, a light breeze swept through the doorstep.  As he opened the door he was greeted with a barrage of clicks and taps.  Curious what the racket of noise coming from the the computer room was. He looked inside and realized that high school’s summer break started sooner than his middle school’s.  He walked down towards his own computer to check if any of his friends were on.
“How was school?” Justin, my older brother questioned
‘Okay”

“Look at this” As Justin turned around and handed a white envelope to Eric. “You can throw it away”
Eric was handed a large official looking letter.  He realized that
“Nope”`
“We got to go!”
The brothers were arguing in the computer room.  Eric was feeling like he was about to punch his brother in the face.  While his brother calmly was playing on his computer.
“We got to go visit them.”
“No. I just want to play games the whole vacation, no parents to tell us what to do, plus they are going to visit us in America anyways.’
“No, that is not the point. They can’t visit us because they are sick.”

Kenny walked down the aisle until he found the seat number that matched the airplane ticket.  He was disappointed when he found out that his seat was the seat next to the window. He shoved his luggage on the empty storage area on top of the seats and slid down to the window sit. Kenney peered out of the small window to the right of him.  He saw people pumping gas into the airplane and other planes with people starting to go inside.  As people started coming in Kenney was starting to get more uncomfortable as the two seats to the left of him were taken.   Kenny realized that the two kids were brothers because once they sat down they were starting to talk.  As the plane engine turned into a soft hum the airplane moved up the takeoff point, the voice of a woman filled the airplane just as the screen of my TV turned into a instructional video about safety and emergency exits.
“Hello it is your captain here, and thank you for coming to join us in our flight to Hong Kong. The estimated time to reach the destination is 13 hours and 52 minutes. The weather is a little cloudy so that should be no problem, and thanks for choosing United.”
Kenny heard the younger boy mutter something . The his brother saw that Kenny was looking at his brother and said “Sorry about my brother, what's your name?”
“Ohh shut up Justin” his brother said jokingly
“Kenny”
“My name is Justin and this is my brother Eric”
Kenny noded and realized what a warm welcome he got considering that he never met these people before.
“Are you guys going alone”
“Yup” Eric replied
As Eric said that, the airplane gained speed down the runway and the plane was in the air.
