More than a Dream
The wind blew steadily through the trees naked branches. The moon was bright illuminating our way down a narrow path. A single brown strand of my hair brushed my frozen cheek. We stopped in silence my hand held safely in his as a hundred flowers came into view.
My heart threatened to burst out of my chest. Instinctively, my hand tightened around his and I blinked back tears of ultimate happiness. His eyes met mine making my face burst with emotion.
“How’d you get all these in fall?” I laughed embracing him tightly as I nodded my head towards the flowers.
He pulled me back and smiled. His eyes twinkled a million responses…” I love you.”
