The Sands Of Time Chapter 5
“Are you serious? Then why are you so old? You have Missy.” The shock had to be evident on my face.
“Yes the situation for me is different. We have discussed it and Missy and myself agree that she might not have been the perfect one for me but we were married when I got the Sands of Time and love is not finding the perfect person, it is seeing an imperfect person, perfectly.”
“Well how will I know if I find the perfect girl?”
“The Sands will react to her. They won’t be able to affect her. She will be the only other person on Earth that won’t be frozen in time.”
“Ok done deal I just grab the hourglass and travel around till I find her.” I shrugged.
“Sure if you want to die before you find her. As you’ve already seen the aging happens fast. No one has ever gotten out of the contract this way a few have tried and were found withered away, most use the glass normally some avoid use but if you plan on finding her your best bet is regular use and hope like hell you find her.”
