Try to Find Me
I slide my eyes to the left and drink in the sight of you. When I see you, I don't see what you look like; I see who you are. I know you better than you think, better than anyone else does. I know you from things you've told me, joined with the parts of you I've noticed on my own--the quirks and mood swings and opinions that you don't even recognize. Sometimes I wonder if you know me like I know you, but that would require you to care enough to listen and search for parts of me that I don't show to everyone. Parts of me that are ready to be uncovered by you, if you're willing to try.
