Just Broken
Maybe the weight has dropped defiantly. The natural curves have lost their glory. The bones may jut out further through the skin. The tan may have faded to an icy pale tone, the flush from my cheek no longer rouge. The hair may have lost its shinny gleam. The lips may no longer smile. The eyes may no longer look with hopeful awe, but empty blue sorrows. The designer clothes may no longer be evident. The confidence may skip my stride. The heartache may be apparent in my face.
I'm not gone; just broken.
