I wish I understood boys.
I wish I understood boys.
They used to seem so straightforward back in elementary school. If they liked you, they'd pretend to hate you, and then they'd kiss you. Then you'd never talk again. It was that simple.
Now there are too many words--the spoken ones and the silent ones. They don't say what they mean. And when they do talk, they don't mean what they say.
I wish I could get inside his head. Just for a day maybe. And find out what he means when he puts a winky face at the end of his text messages. Or why in the world he stares at my feet whenever we're talking. What's wrong with them anyway?
Maybe it's us. Maybe we overanalyze everything they say....
Nah. It's them.
I wish I understood boys.
