Love Never Fails
I never thought I would find love, or even knew what it would feel like. I was little, eight years old. I was shy, chunky and didn’t have many friends. But one day we got a new kid in our class. His name was Brandon and he was so funny and sweet. I don’t remember him very well now but I do remember he turned out to be one of my best friends. I always told him about this show I watched and he always acted so interested. He was so sweet! I never even thought about love or boys when I was younger but when he came to our school, I actually wanted to be that special person that got to be loved every day by him. My love life seemed over when he left shortly after becoming my best friend ever. But then I found someone else I liked. I knew him since kindergarten and he was so funny. His name was James. I knew he would never like me though so I always kept my mouth shut. Finally, I told my friend about him and she dared me to face my fears and ask him out. So that’s what I did. But it didn’t work out well. So from then on everyone made fun of me for liking him. It didn’t bother me to much though because I knew it was true. I put up with this my whole 6th grade year. Then came 7th grade and I knew it was time to move on but I just couldn’t. So my friend Macy said she would get me a boyfriend before the first semester was over. I waited and then came the middle school Halloween dance. I danced, hung out with my friends, and even watched James dance a little. Then I went home and checked my phone. James had asked me out. I was so excited and was dying inside. I said yes and it was the best thing I have ever done. Now, after three years, I have realized what it is like to truly be in love.
