What He Meant to Me
Someone asked if I knew you. I froze, my breath increased. A million memories flashed through my mind; every kiss that we shared, the play fighting, actually fighting. All of it. Now my breathing became shallow
“Not anymore,” I finally choked out.
“Are you ok?”
“If you could read my mind you’d be in tears,” I whispered.
“Break up?” she asked. Anger rose up inside me. Her tone was far too casual. Didn’t she know the pain I was going through? How dare she take this so lightly!
“He wasn’t just a star to me, he was the whole d*** sky.” I shot back. Surprised at how much venom came through in my voice. Jeff should be here I thought. Then he would see how much he meant to me.
