Blue and Her Love for Him
I drive down to the line crying my eyes out. My mouth was like a desert and my eyes like an ocean. After all I had been through. He still hurt me! I stop instantly to see the sight on the line. There he stands and waits for me. I stomp out of the car to tell him to move, until it happened. There we were a black woman and white man kissing.
As I back away, I whispered “why do you come back for me?” “Because I love you,” he says. “o-oh” I say feeling touched. Then it happened. I felt the wet sticky thing on my hands. I looked down on my hands to see blood. I looked up to see my lover had fallen to the ground. Screams of terror flew from within me. “I told the both of you whites and N*****S cannot fall in love” a police officer says holding a shot gun. He ran over to me and cuffed me. “It’s my entire fault” I say balling with tears’. I then do something crazy. I turn around and knocked out the police officer and grab his keys. I crank the engine and go back for Jessie. I lay him in the back seat and drive off. “I’m ready to turn home” I say drying my eyes and focus on the road.
It is a short love story about an african american falling in love with a white man
