A Voice Like Jazz.
His voice was deep and reassuring, like a saxophone. He didn't sing but his voice made a melody of his own, easy and smooth. Like Jazz. Rolling around lazily in his throat, pulling you up out of the murky depths into soft light, clear air. Swaying you, pulling you into dances you hadn't known you knew. Easy and gentle, Deep and reassuring. That boy with the saxophone voice. Never struggling, never wavering, always smooth. Unbroken. Rise and fall, simple and uncomplicated. He pulled the notes out with the ease of breathing. That boy with a voice like Jazz.
