The Rumor
In a matter of seconds, the rumor had spread and people started gossiping about me. I was humiliated in front of all my friends and everyone stopped talking to me. All they did was stare. I wanted to hide my face and get out of the school.
In school, I was a very kind and intelligent person and knew the qualities that I wanted in a boyfriend. There was a picture on Facebook of me kissing a man that I went to school with. He was always doing bad things like drugs and trying to break the law. Everyone treated me like I was someone different. I tried for days explaining to people that it wasn't me in the picture and I would never spend time with someone that does the awful things. I had to prove to them that it was all fake and the man photoshopped me in to make it look like I was with him. After days of my friends considering that I told the truth, they finally let me back in.

It explains how fast a rumor can spread quickly in a small school. There was a rumor that a girl was going out with a bad man. But the girl wants to prove to other people that the rumor was fake and there was a man photoshopped next to her making people think she was dating him. She has an idea of an ideal boyfriend and everyone judges her about the choices she makes. Once a rumor about someone gets out, she feels embarrassed and depressed. Later, the rumor stops and she feels better about herself and what her friends think of her.
