“HEHEHEHEHE,” a goblin snickered, running away with the wizard’s powerful weapons and gold he had stolen. There were many wizards chasing after them, but the goblins were too fast and agile for them to catch. Currently, there was an excruciating, grueling dispute between the goblins and wizards.

The humans were caught in the crossfire between the two races in the world of Aiko. Ray, the cunning king of the humans, was feeling annoyed with all of the races.

Sag’ei, the leader of the wizards and magi, decided to put a stop to this mischief.

Later that day, the Sag’ei called a meeting for the wizards and magi. “I have had enough of this! We must put a stop to the stealing of the goblins and orcs.”
“I am ready!” said the talking wand. They marched to the goblins’ camps and started firing spells at the goblins and orcs.

The orcs and goblins started to trade blows with the wizards. While weapons and spells were flying in the air, the humans were caught in the crossfire. Ray called a meeting with Sag’ei and the leader of the goblins and orcs, the evil Usklavèch, at his Castle.

“I have a proposal,” said  Ray of the humans. “To make peace!” The other two rulers were extremely silent, thinking hard.

“Maybe?” said Sag’ei.

“No! Never!” exclaimed Usklavèch. “Goodbye!” Usklavèch ran out of the room and slammed the door shut.

“Would you like to band together and defeat Usklavèch ?” questioned Sag’ei.

“Yes,” Ray said.

“Okay, rally up your troops for the battle!” commanded Sag’ei. He then traveled back to his own kingdom, confident that he would win the battle.

After the meeting, Ray and his troops tried to surprise the goblins and orcs. Ray snuck around the base with fifty men and yelled, “Charge!”

This attack ended horribly. Out of the 50 humans, 37 died and the rest barely escaped. Ray was also wounded. The men rode back to the kingdom on horses, calling out to the medical center for help. Flying medical beds shot out of the medical center like bullets shot from a gun. The beds then carried Ray and the wounded into the medical center.

Wizards then rushed to the hospital with their wands. They quickly started healing all the wounded humans.

Meanwhile, the wizards started to heavily prepare for the big battle. The magic wands were being doused in great elixirs, while their robes were being washed and enchanted. They were well prepared. Traps were being set around their base, by the wizards, such as elixir bombs and wand turrets.

The humans had been quickly healed and they too started preparing for the war. The humans polished their weapons and armor along with making arrows. Cannons and cannonballs were also crafted by blacksmiths. Craft Workers also made barricades to defend against the attacks.

The goblins wanted to show off their strength so they decided to attack the wizards. The wizards were currently planning attack strategies.

“What is that strange sound?” A wizard asked, unaware of what was waiting for him.

“Attack!!!”

The wizards were devastated by the attack. Even though the wizards fought off the goblins, they still had many deaths. 20 wizards died and more than 50 were wounded. Luckily, all the wounded were quickly taken to the medical center. The damage that was afflicted was hard to heal but the experienced magi lent their help and healed the injured. The injured were sick and infected by the bacteria and diseases they were exposed to. They then knew that the goblins could attack anytime and anywhere.

Sag’ei called a meeting with Ray to decide what to do. Ray and Sag’ei met at the wizard castle, where they decided to attack the goblins in two days. Then Ray went to his castle to prepare his troops. They did a lot of practice with their swords and bows. The bowmen were so accurate that they could and always were able to hit an apple from 175 feet! The wizards practiced their mysterious spells. They were able to propel fireballs and ice shards. They could quickly heal wounded in a week. Ray polished his emerald sword. Sag’ei readied his talking wand. They were ready for battle.

Ray and Sag’ei rallied the troops and said their last words. “I want you guys to use all you’ve got on the battlefield!” said Ray. While the wizards made sure their wands were working and their minds were set to war. The citizens who did not get ready for war set up cannons and spell turrets. Brewers made potions for the men who were going to war.
Blacksmiths struggled hard to create the strongest and best weapons for the men. The Men were given basically a royal treatment. If the goblins did not prepare they would be destroyed.

Ray marched his troops to the battlefield and they set up barricades. The archers hid behind the barricades and prepared their bows. The warriors took out their spears and formed the front line. The swordsmen took out their swords and went behind the warriors. Then Sag’ei and the wizards arrived. The wizards that propelled fireballs and ice shards joined the archers behind the barricades. The magi healers went behind the warriors and swordsmen. Then Ray trotted to the front of the battlefield on the horse while Sag’ei levitated to the front.

Meanwhile, the goblins and orcs were preparing at the other side of the battlefield. The warrior orcs prepared their axes. The orc cavalry saddled up on their evil horses and picked up their lances. The goblin bombermen, on the other hand, were putting up barricades and bringing in bombs to launch with a catapult. The goblin rogues took out their daggers and put on camouflage. But, that was not all, the sneaky goblins had a secret weapon up their sleeve.

Both sides spotted each other on the battlefield and just looked at each other. No one wanted to make a wrong move. For a few minutes they just eyed each other and then some of the goblin rogues snuck around the forest and flanked right side of the humans, but the humans quickly killed them. Only seven humans died and the injured were quickly healed. The Rogues’ strategy failed and they lost twenty-six troops. After that the goblins and orcs retreated to strategize and to develop their secret weapon.

The humans noticed that they were retreating and took advantage of that situation by letting half of the warriors charge. Since the goblins had shorter legs, some of them tripped over a log, then the warriors caught up to them to and massacred them. No warriors and wizards died, but only five goblin rogues survived and a lot died. The warriors and wizards then retreated back to the rest of the humans and wizards to regroup and receive new weapons and wands.

Blacksmiths and workers were finally done with making the secret weapon for the goblins. They were just testing it and putting finishing touches on it. The humans and wizards were not aware of the weapon that was developed to massacre them.

The orcs were starting an attack! They sent some strong axemen flanked by evil cavalry to attack, but immediately the wizard prepared to rain on them with ice shards. As the cavalry and axemen charged the last thing they saw was a cloud of ice falling toward them.

“With our secret weapon, it is impossible for us to lose!” exclaimed Usclavèch. “But for now will all charge at the humans and wizards, the bombermen for now ,will stay back.”

Ray and Sag’ei saw that the goblins and orcs were getting ready to charge, so they decided to charge before them to get an advantage.

“CHARGE!”

Both armies ran at each other with great force. Bombs, fireballs and ice shards whizzed over their heads. It looked like fireworks from above.

The war was a stalemate until the humans started throwing molotov c***tails. The goblins and orcs were then set on fire, which burned their skin, and decimated. Humans and wizards were starting to gain ground and pushing them towards their base. The bombermen started to use a secret ingredient to craft stronger bombs with great deadly radius. The lost ground was being made up until the elite wizards used powerful lightning spells which made goblins explode into pieces, and gained back the lost ground and more ground. Soon about seventy percent of the goblins and orcs were killed. It looked like it was a certain victory for the humans and wizards.

“Unveil the weapon!” said Usclavèch.

A large catapult was unveiled. With it a large bomb bundled with rocks. The catapult was being prepared to be launched.

Meanwhile, Ray with his emerald sword, and Sag’ei with his talking wand, were fighting an orc general. The general tried to kill Sag’ei, but Ray blocked his sword. Ray and the general were equally powerful, so Sag’ei had to do something. He asked his wand what to do and it said to shock the general. Sag’ei and his wand blasted electricity at the general and he crashed into the dirt. Ray was about to stab him when a huge object passed over his head. “Get down!” yelled Ray.

BOOM!!!!!!!!!

“Ray get up, are you okay?!”

Ray’s vision was blurry and his ears rang. Soon Sag’ei helped him up. Ray looked around and saw blood everywhere. He knew that most of his army had died and the rest were mostly injured. Healers had already started healing wounded soldiers. Warriors that were not wounded were killing off goblins and orcs left injured on the battlefield, most of which had already retreated to celebrate their victory. Then Ray saw the general behind Sag’ei. He was about to stab Sag’ei when Ray killed him with his emerald sword. Sag’ei helped the healers care for the wounded and Ray helped kill goblins and orcs. As soon as the injured were healed everyone left to go their castle to rest.

The humans arrived at their castle and were just about to eat when Sag’ei’s messenger came. Ray ordered everyone to get a horse and their weapons. The humans rode to the wizards’ castle and met with Sag’ei. They saw that all of the houses had been destroyed and Sag’ei told them all the civilians had been taken by the goblins and orcs. Ray told the wizards to go to the human castle.

Ray and Sag’ei met with wizard and human generals in Ray’s meeting room after dinner at the castle. They discussed what to do. Finally, they decided to have builders rebuild the wizard kingdom and send scouts to locate the civilians.

The next day, the scouts left to look for the civilians. First, they checked the caves around the kingdom, but had no luck. They found nothing in the mountains either. They started heading back to the castle when they saw something in the forest. They went to see what was there and the the civilians tied up and about twenty orc guards, an executioner wearing a black robe and mask, who had just cut someones head off and was bloody, and the orc leader. They rode their horses as fast as they could to the castle. The told Ray the news and he sent ten archers and thirty warriors to rescue them and Sag’ei sent ten wizards to help. They arrived and started to sneak up on the enemies and take them out.

The executioner was getting ready to kill civilians with a battle axe when a wizard shot him with an ice shard. This made him crash into the ground. The archers and wizards started killing off the orc guards. The warriors chased the orc leader and his guards. They threw spears and killed the guards. They then threw a spear at the leader and it pierced his leg. They caught up to him and a soldier threw a dagger into his forehead. The army of wizards and humans rushed in and untied the civilians.

The builders were still rebuilding, so the humans let them stay at their castle. It was very crowded, but everyone was happy. Sag’ei and Ray decided to attack a goblin and orc camp while they were celebrating their victory. They sent some swordsmen and wizards to attack. The massive war before had caused many of the humans and wizards to pass away. That is why they have such a small population and they could not risk losing more troops.

Goblins and orcs were celebrating when they heard noises. “I’m going to check what that is,” a goblin general said. When he walked outside a wizard shot him. His men ran out to kill the single wizard, but were surprised when many wizards and swordsmen surrounded them. Since the goblins had thought there was only one attacker they only brought butcher knives and kitchen knives. They tried to fight, but the swordsmen had longer blades, so they  killed all of the goblins and orcs there. Then the troops took supplies from the goblin and orc camp back to their castle. That was a small, but important victory.

Soon after, the humans and wizards attacked again. It looked like the fight was impossible for them to win. Numbers were on the goblin and orc side, ten knights and five wizards against about 30 goblins and orcs. Even though the attack seemed like a small scale flank the supplies were very important to the humans. If the humans stole the supplies it would be a big confidence booster as the supplies had many important items and, it would show that in small groups the goblins were no match for the strength and power of the humans and wizards. The supplies were important because most of the human soldiers knew how to wield the orc axes and the food would keep the humans and wizards from hunger and starvation. They finally won, even though they had less numbers.

When the soldiers arrived at the castle with the supplies, everyone cheered. The soldiers immediately passed out food to all the civilians. Some civilians signed up to be in the human army and were given the battle axes scavenged from the small scale attacks. The noble wizards realized that as the humans and wizards are assaulting the goblins and orcs the enemy population was slowly dwindling down.

“If we just keep on attacking like that, the goblins will have to surrender!” said Sag’ei. Ray agreed and decided to attack another small camp. Day by day, night by night, the goblins and orcs were decreasing in numbers. The strategy was practically unbeatable because the goblins did not have a full base. But the goblins then figured out the almost foolproof strategy and decided that they needed to do something about it.

Soon the news came that the wizards village was rebuilt. Everyone cheered and the wizards moved back to their own homes.

The next day more news came from the human scouts, but this time it was bad. The attack plan would not work anymore because the goblins and orcs had built one huge, central, indestructible, everlasting, unbreakable, impenetrable, heavy-duty, industrial-strength fortress, so they were not separated in their camps. Basically they were invincible, unless they were outside their fortress. Cannons and wall turrets were installed next to the fortress while the ultimate catapult of mass destruction was being stored in the base.

Ray called a meeting with his generals, Sag’ei and his generals. He told them about the fortress and they started brainstorming how to attack. One wizard suggested that they attack by throwing fireballs at the fortress, but everyone disagreed because the fortress was indestructible. Then Al, a human general suggested that they lure them out of the fortress and then attack. Everyone liked the idea, but nobody knew how to get them outside. Then an idea hit Ray. The goblins had to send a caravan outside to bring food and water. The humans and wizards could take out the goblins when they needed food.

Abandoned goblin and orc army camps were lightly scattered about and they were extremely close to the fortress.

“We could use those camps as shelter and the fortress is visible from there too!” said Sag’ei’s talking wand.

“Also, if we stay in the camps we can just wait for caravans to pass by, then we could ambush them.”

“Good thinking!” said Ray.

Sag’ei’s talking wand was pretty smart.

The wizards and humans opened the doors to the small army camps and set up weapon racks and wand holders. They ripped off some wood from the camp and used it as firewood. Then they used makeshift pans to cook some meat and fish as that was what was in the supply chests. Soon each of the army camps had soldiers and wizards living in them.

A few weeks of stakeout later a caravan still had not came. They were about to quit the plan when they saw the fortress gates open and close. When they looked closer they saw a caravan made up of seven huge wagons, thirty evil horses also used to carry food and about fifty orc and goblin guards. The soldiers and wizards prepared for battle. This war would settle all of it.

When the caravan was far enough from the fortress, Ray yelled “Charge!”
Then Sag’ei yelled “Call forth the power of wind!” The howling wind then carried them effortlessly to the caravan, like a leaf floating in the air.

Swords and axes were clashing about, while arrows, lightning, and bombs whizzed over both armies heads. Al, the general was the best fighter. Soon the humans and wizards had won the battle. The combined forces of the wizard’s magic and the human’s strength was too much for the orcs and goblins.

Later that day, Ray and Sag’ei announced that they had to leave to take care of business at their castle and they left Al to command the army. Ray took his emerald sword and handed it to Al. The sword was extremely powerful. The wielder could effortlessly cut through wood and armor just by using the weight of the sword. The power of sword could only be unleashed by a true warrior. If a novice swordman held the sword it would not obey him. The sword in the hands of a novice would simply try to escape the grip of the man.

After Sag’ei and Ray left, the soldiers ate dinner and went to bed. For the next few days they just waited for a caravan to come because they knew that the goblins and orcs really needed edible food and drinkable water. It was a cowardly strategy, but they knew it would work. Many people did not want to follow the strategy because they wanted to fight honorably. One day as Al was practicing with his new sword, he heard a spotter yell “c-c- caravan!”

Everyone rushed to get their weapons and put on their armor. The armor had a great luster which shined in the sun, but the last engagement left patches of noticeable blood on the armor. The humans and wizards did not bother to wash off the stains.

“It is intimidation strategy. We know that the goblins and orcs are cowards. If they saw the blood stains they would be frightened and scurry away.”

It was an ant farm with the ants running around to work. People from all the army camps ran out toward the caravan and the same outcome was achieved as the attack on the last caravan. The goblins and orcs were not informed of the human and wizard strategy because all the scouts on the caravan were slayed.

“Its been so long!” exclaimed Usklavéch.

“What should we do?” said a goblin.

“I’m starving!” yelled an orc.

“We need food, NOW!”

“Attention! Your leader, Usklavéch, wants to state something of great importance”

“If you want food, you gave to work for it! Yes, you!” exclaimed Usvavéch. “We are mighty goblins and orcs! We are fully capable of getting food ourselves. So do you want to sit here  starving? I don’t know about you, but I want to work for food. Are you all with me?!”

“how do we... um attack them?” yelled a goblin

“We could all attack and destroy those wizards and humans, they are no match for our power and strength. So now are you with me!!!” exclaimed Usvavéch.

“Yeah!!!” yelled the whole goblin and orc population.

The orcs and goblins were then involved in making weapons for self defence and carts to carry the food. Usklavéch knew that if he was going to feed the whole orc and goblin population he would need to stay outside gathering berries and killing animals for a very long and stressful time. At anytime the humans and wizards could bombard them and basically stop them from gathering any foodstuffs. This was going to be very risky but they needed food. What else could they do?

Finally after a strenuous day the caravans and weapons were crafted and ready for use. The whole goblin and orc population began to march out with the caravans at the center of the big mass. They tried to protect the caravans as best as they could. Since the mass of goblins and orcs was giant it was almost impossible not to spot it.  After a mere 10 minutes of gathering food the humans and wizards attacked the goblins and orcs. The humans and wizards were engulfed and lost in the crowd of goblins and orcs. The caravans being torn piece by peice. Each time a piece of wood would fly off the some goblins would get splinters.

Al was talking to the soldier in the watchtower when he saw a goblin messenger with two orc guards coming. Al told everyone not to attack because he wanted to see what they wanted. When the messenger arrived the gates of the main army camp were opened. The messenger wore soiled gold armor and a blackened silver helmet. His heavy boots shook the ground. The orcs wore ripped plaid shirts, black pants and golden gauntlets. Their boots were caked in mud. Al walked up to them and they started talking. The soldiers made a deformed circle around them to see what they were talking about.

“Why are you destroying our caravans” the messenger angrily.

“Yeah, we want food” the guards said in unison.

Al replied “you killed most of our population, this is revenge.”

“Revenge is not worth trying for. Of course because we are better than you, and we will not be stopped!” yelled the messenger

Al calmly told them to leave, but a guard pushed Al. Soldiers unsheathed their weapons, but Al told them it was okay.  They put away their weapons and backed away. Al told them to leave, but they stood like statues. Al told some soldiers to lead them out. When the soldiers started pushing the orcs one unsheathed his dagger and lunged at a soldier. The soldier dodged the attack and killed the orc. The other orc ran out of the camp, but archers quickly shot him down. The angry messenger then challenged Al to a duel. He accepted and they walked to the middle of the circle that soldiers had formed. The duel had begun.

The messenger lunged, but Al dodged it. Al then slashed and the messenger crashed into the ground. The messenger kicked Al and knocked him to the ground. The messenger had gotten up and was about to stab Al, when an arrow pierced his back. The messenger crashed onto Al. Al pushed him off and got up. The messenger tried to rise, but Al sliced his head off. Anna, a soldier from the women's archery division had shot the messenger. She was wearing a white dress, golden arm bands and a headband made out of leaves. Her long hair was in a ponytail. A beautiful soldier she was. But people didn’t underestimate her, she was great with a sword and fine shot with a bow and arrow. Al thanked her and went in the building.

Meanwhile, the goblins slowly returned to their fortress. Most of them only bruised or scratched. But the most unlucky had one of his limbs chopped up. Since they did not have the power of magic they could not heal each other quickly.

When the goblins and orcs had healed they had a meeting.

“What happened with your plan Usklavéch! Huh!” a goblin yelled

“Okay. I am sorry, I did not plan it out well, but I have a plan that will give us a certain victory.”

“What are we going to do.”

“We will attack them with all of the civilians, soldiers, horses, dogs we can get.” said

This dispute between the wizards and goblins was about to end. Overall the humans and wizards were definitely stronger, but the goblins had numbers on their side. Look at the other events even with the wizards and humans were outnumbered they still pulled through and succeeded with their missions. Except for the previous war.

The two armies walked up to the middle of the battlefield. Uslavéch faced his soldiers and yelled “are you ready to destroy them!”

“Yes sir” his army roared.

Many of the goblins and orcs did not know to fight in battle because they are just normal civilians. Fighting with weapons was not their strong suit.

¨Trained warriors please meet in the back now!¨ Yelled Usklavéch ¨Um, the civilians do not know how to fight well. You might as well just use them as expendable meat shields¨

¨But my family is in there!¨

¨Do you think I care about your family? No! I do not. The thing you should be worried about winning the battle! Now get in there and fight maggot!¨

On the other side of the battlefield the humans and wizards expeditiously filed into their positions. The warriors with their spears in the front line and the swordsmen behind them. The civilians armed with axes and scythes used for cutting grass. Next to them were the healers and at the back the wizards and archers were behind barricades. Ray and Sag’ei were hovering at the front.

One confused goblin thought the attack had started and ran toward the humans. Immediately, fireballs and arrows rained onto him.

“Sorry!” Yelled Usklavéch to the dying goblin!

Both armies charged at each other. There was screaming, metal hitting against metal and objects buzzing through the air. The goblin’s numbers overwhelmed the humans and wizards until they started throwing molotov c***tails. Elite wizard generals used powerful spells to target the bombermen. Sag’ei, Ray and Al met to make a plan.

“We are beating them, so I know they will try to use that weapon that almost killed us last time!” said Ray

Al replied “I will take some scouts to find and disable it, meanwhile continue fighting”

“Okay, take ten scouts and five wizards, ohh and good luck”

Al and his men sneaked through the forest and behind enemy lines. There they saw a huge catapult being pulled toward the battlefield. It had eight horses pulling it and ten orcs controlling the horses and pulling small wagons full of rocks and explosives. Al knew they needed to attack now.

The orcs were pulling their wagons when they were shot with ice shards. Al and his men ran to the catapult. Al started destroying the catapult when he felt a sharp pain in his back. He saw that an orc had stabbed him with a sword. A scout killed the orc. Al told his men to destroy the catapult and give the emerald sword to Ray.

At the battlefield Ray was fighting when a soldier said that Al had died and gave him the emerald sword. Anna started crying. Most of the orcs and goblins were already killed. Anna got really angry and started firing left and right. Ray, Sag’ei and their soldiers killed off most of the goblins and orcs. Only a lucky handful of them were able to run away and hide. Everyone cheered, except Anna, who quietly weeped next to Al’s body. Ray and Sag’ei had one more task, to kill a famous orc.

Ray and Sag’ei purposely left one orc alive. The orc whose name was Usklavéch, the leader of the goblins and orcs. It was a standoff between them. The sword of Ray was in the sheath. Both were reluctant to charge as weapons are meant to be felt not seen. Sag’ei knew that people who carry weapons carry a lot of weapons. Usklavéch thought that he would be able to beat Ray and Sag’ei only if he could get closer. Then Usklavéch started rapidly sprinting toward ray.. Quickly Ray countered the charge, and cut Usklavéch’s neck because he did not give ray the respect that he was carrying a weapon that can puncture and lacerate. . The pain was enough to drop him to the ground. Ray held up a sword to his neck. Quickly Sag’ei enchanted the sword with an electricity spell. Ray then held up the sword and slashed with all of the force he could put together. The electricity with the combined power of the sword created a blinding light with the slash. After Ray and Sag’ei regained sight, Uklavéch’s body had disappeared with the ground looking like it had been struck by lightning with ash on the ground. Their deed was done. They then walked back to their camps with the armies.

Two weeks later...

The goblin city was destroyed and rebuilt. It was then used as a vacation-like town. It had magic matter which held the city up in the air. With large, astonishing buildings.  Usually only Ray, Sag’ei, or Ray’s wife would stay in the goblin vacation town as the human citizens who worked there literally charged a boatload of gold. Ray and the Queen stayed in a beautiful royal home. While Sag’ei went back to the wizard camp and started to teach youngsters the art and skill of magic.
“Magic is unexplainable! But if you can take advantage of the fact that it is tricky and unexplainable it would be possible to wield the power of it .” Sag’ei said to the youngsters.

Anna was the wife of Al. She is now one of the many widows of the humans and wizards. She secluded herself by living in the forest and becoming a huntress. Anna seeked revenge for her fallen husband. There was still a few remaining goblins, but she hunted them. Soon she made the goblin and orc population extinct. Then she joined the human guard, which patrolled the world of Aiko (which ironically means love and affection, opposite of what happens in this story). The guard were like police, they arrested criminals and protected the people.

Then the wife of Ray figured out that she was holding an unborn baby. But they had no stress as they were happy to continue their reign with a prince or princess.
Ray then said “Ahh. Peace and quiet.  Now there is no more... ummm what is the word for that, oh! Indignation.”
