Straight to the Top
Boston is cold at night, even in the summer. Especially when you are alone. You see, I have been here before, cold and needing somewhere to go. Failure and being alone are intertwined, so I get both. I get my dinner by collecting bottles and I smell like ----. The pavement is cold and my jacket is thin. I have never been to the top floor of anywhere, never been the boss of anyone, that average loser. After high school I thought I could just find an ok job, but no one’s hiring. Like, ever. Or maybe people just hate Jim Manson. I mean, even I hate Jim Manson and I am Jim Manson.
