What's The Point?

Lately I’ve been wonderin’
What’s the point of people lovin’?
Everybody that I’ve ever loved,
Has left me, caused me pain,
And turned my once
Loving thoughts insane.
If people are going to just end up
Hurting one another,
Wouldn’t it be wiser to just avoid attachment?
And the sorrow that comes
With the momentary, loving flutter?
People enter in and out of
People’s lives every day.
But the pain comes
When you wished that they had
Truly loved you too, Cause if they had,
They would have stayed.
