Stop Acting Like You Know Me
You act, you talk as if you know me.
There’s one catch:
You don’t know me—
Not what I want or who I want to be.
Stop talking as if you know me.
I’d say I’d go back to the old me,
But I am who I am and always will be.
So stop acting like you know me.
You think I share your distastes for the world,
But the world is fresh between my fingertips.
Stop acting like you know me.
Saying someone will fail doesn’t make you a success.
Au contraire, you live with your parents and you’re almost 30.
So stop acting like you know me.
You say you can read all of us like a book—
The whole human race.
But you’re too busy hating us to understand.
You say there’s nothing to understand.
But that just shows you’re weak.
So stop acting like you know me.
So stop acting like you know me.
So stop acting like you know me.
