dont judge a book by its cover

Nobody realizes the effect they have had on a life
Until they have taken it
Until they have clutched it in their hands and choked it away
She wants to run away from her misery
she doesn't want to come home from school anymore
Nobody cares
Self absorbed in their own problems
Nobody cares for little old her she's just a girl
She's nothing more just a girl
A girl who cries boatloads of tears
A girl who puts on a brave smile though her fears
A girl who can hold back mountains sometimes
She breaks after a while wouldn't you?
She is as fragile as a mirror but not that shallow
She has more depth than the ocean
Every mark you leave on her will not be invisible
It will show bright as a bruise
"Nobody cares" she hears that whisper in her head
Nobody cares she has it shown to her every single day
Nobody cares she feels like a dog, a stray
Kicked from place to place loved one minute hated the next
She starts to wonder if anyone cares
She starts to wonder if anyone would notice if she died
No one will
She starts to feel so alone
She shakes with the tears that rock her to sleep
She prays for a relief that never comes
Will she ever take a stand against this?
Will she ever start to make people care?
Its funny how only when she's dead people will listen
They will then listen to the girl she really was before she died
She's just a girl
She feels cold and empty
She feels desperate and needs a way out
She runs in circles never once glancing up
She does not see her way out
Soi she goes along giving to the people who hate her
Soon she will just give up
Everyday a new struggle
Everyday a new war
She'll put on her makeup and go to school
She'll come home to the constant call of...
Nobody cares

The author's comments:
i am a victim of bullies and i find poetry to be my outlet

i wish to reach people on a personal level with my poems to give them hope and faith and strength to believe that everything is going to be ok even in the darkest hour in their lives

suicide is not the answer
get help
tell on the bullies take a stand for what is right regardless of what people might say about you

remember to stay true to yourself and say something when something goes wrong don't sit quiet and wait like i often had to i lived in fear of bullies
but i don't anymore neither should you
