Feedback on Double Vision
Reading the essay “Double Vision” by Anthony Reo was really an eye opening experience for me. Not only did it include the disadvantages of having “visual impairment”, but it also showed disabilities in a new light. It showed that disabilities were not just illness but had positive impact on people as well. Noty having experienced any myself, I’ve realized that I’ve only scratched the surface of disabilities and that there is so much more to them.
“My imperfect eyesight, although injury-provoking at times, has allowed me to develop a unique outlook on life.” The author starts off with a negative view, but shifts her focus to positively speaking of his impairment. The article has led me to a different perspective on the subject of “disabilities.”
