Feedback on “Where the Field Ends”
The remarkable article titled “Where the Field Ends”, written by Anaya Campbell, talks about unintentional disaster. Written through third person, Campbell talks about someone running through the fields, crushing flowers. By trying to spot their mistakes, they actually create more damage. Her writing left me feeling more cautious of my surroundings and more aware of my actions through beautiful words.
When I saw the title, I did not think much of the piece, that it would be like any other piece that I have read in Teen Ink. “Your once bouncing feet are now accidental hammers, shattering and crunching sweet life beneath them.” It is powerful meaning dressed up as a sunflower. One can be so caught up in the moment that they do not notice what is going on around them. “Where the Field Ends” is notable and a must-read piece from the November 2018 issue of Teen Ink.
