How Fair Are the SATs?
The writing titled “How Fair Are the SATs,” written by Veenita P., talks about how SATs are unfair. I agree with Veenita throughout the article, but not the whole time. She makes some very good points about the test. I was left pondering on this and thinking about if this was fair or not. One of the points that she made was they were measuring how much and how well the students could do with limited amount of time. I think that knowing that they have limited time to take the test, puts a ton of extreme pressure on the students, then they might not have done their best. I agree with Veenita when she says, ” We need more college scholarships that are based on the student as a whole.” She also stated,” The only way for teens to find their passion is to go out into the world and create experiences.” I think that the article was very well written. I don’t know if there is stress over the SAT in our school. If there is stress, it’s more toward the end of Jr. year, beginning of Sr. year.
