What It Feels Like
The writing titled “What It Feels Like”, written by Orin OH, talks about how depression feels. This writing makes me feel understood yet defeated. I can understand where the author is coming from. The author gave me many examples of how it feels like there’s nothing left. I specifically knew the feeling at most when the author writes, “I lie down on the steps, my hands tucked under my head, and let myself drift away.” When I read this I could relate because you sit there and let all the sadness and feelings sink in till you let yourself drift away. I feel this is a very well written piece, there’s many descriptive adjectives used to help build feelings into the piece. The author uses words such as “crumble” and “devastating” to describe how she felt and these intense and powerful words give meaning to the writing.
