Guardian Angel
In the article “The View From the Slow Lane” it talks about how Nathan eagerly wanted to turn 16 and, “finally be able to drive myself where I needed to go, finally able to blast my own music through my speakers, drive to fast on back roads with my best friend riding shot gun.” I often catch myself focusing on what is a head of me instead of what is here now. When Nathan turned 16 his mom started crying as she said, “my baby boy is growing up” because her son was reaching the last steps to adult hood. Reading this article made me realize how bad we want to grow up and count the days until adult hood but it is emotional for our parents, so from the impact that this article had on me I believe that it is a clear and valid article that more teens should read.
